Tell me about a time you led a team through a really difficult change.

How it landed: Dana asked for the result, then asked what you tracked, then said "Let's move on," so she had to probe twice for specifics and still didn't get a number.

To sharpen: Lead with the outcome, then the how. Before the panel, find the actual figures and prepare a version that opens with the result.

Ready before. Honest after.

Most people walk out of an interview with a feeling, not a record. Fair Take gives you the record, and tells you honestly what to fix.

Before: prep that carries forward

Write your research and questions to ask. Round two starts from round one, not a blank page.

While you talk: it only records

Zoom, Meet, or Teams, with no bot in the room. Fair Take offers to record when the call starts, reminds you to tell everyone first, and stays quiet while you jot notes.

After: the honest debrief

Every answer scored against what the interviewer actually did, with the evidence, the fix, and the moment to replay.

Notes you'd have written yourself

Your scratchpad and the transcript become clean notes: who said what, next steps, and what came up about pay.

A thank-you for each interviewer

Drafts that mention what each person actually said. Fair Take never sends anything; you review and send.

A bank of every question you've faced

See which questions keep coming up across companies, and whether your answers are getting better.

Why an honest debrief changes the next round.

~25%

In a review of 46 studies, structured debriefs improved later performance by about a quarter (Tannenbaum & Cerasoli, 2013).

0.29

How closely people's own sense of their performance matches reality. Low. A record beats memory (Zell & Krizan, 2014).

Live help during the interview. Employers now disqualify candidates who use AI copilots. Fair Take works after the call, which is safe and allowed.

Private by design. Upfront about consent.

Your interviews are some of the most sensitive conversations you'll have. Fair Take treats them that way.

  • Recording and transcription happen on your Mac. Recordings never leave it.
  • Only the text goes to the AI when you ask for notes or a debrief, and nothing is kept on our side.
  • Before every recording, Fair Take asks you to tell everyone, and keeps a note of when you did.
  • Your history, search, and export are free forever. Your data is never held hostage.

Pay for the coaching. Keep your record.

A job search has an end. Fair Take's plans do too: no subscription you forget to cancel.

Questions

Does Fair Take help during the interview?

No, on purpose. Live AI help during interviews is being banned by employers, and candidates are being disqualified for it. Fair Take works afterwards, on a record of what actually happened.

Is it legal to record my interviews?

In most of the US you may record a conversation you're part of, but about a dozen states require everyone's agreement, and on a video call you often can't tell where the other person is. So Fair Take asks you to tell everyone before every recording, gives you a line to say or paste, and keeps a note of when you confirmed. Complying with recording laws is your responsibility.

Who can see my recordings and transcripts?

No one but you. They stay on your Mac. When you ask for notes or a debrief, the transcript text is sent to the AI to write them and isn't kept on our side.

How honest are the scores?

Each score has to agree with its own evidence: what the interviewer actually said and did. Ties go to the lower score, and every low score comes with a concrete fix. Scores are coaching, not a prediction of whether you'll get the job.

What do I need?

A Mac on macOS 26 or later, and interviews on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or anything else that plays through your Mac.

What happens to my record when my search ends?

It stays yours. Your recordings, transcripts, notes, and debriefs remain readable, searchable, and exportable for free, forever.
