Terms of Use

These terms cover Fair Take, a Mac app made by Sean Kinsman ("we"), and purchases of its plans. By using Fair Take you agree to them.

Recording responsibly

Fair Take records conversations. You agree to tell the people you record, to get their agreement where the law requires it, and to follow the recording laws that apply to you and to them. Fair Take reminds you before every recording, but complying is your responsibility. Don't use Fair Take to record anyone covertly.

The coaching

Debriefs, scores, notes, and drafts are written by AI from your recordings. They can be wrong, and they are coaching, not a prediction of any hiring decision. Check thank-you drafts before you send them; Fair Take never sends anything for you.

Plans and purchases

The free tier includes three coached interviews. A Job Search Pass gives 90 days of coaching and doesn't renew. Monthly renews each month until you cancel, and stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Daily fair-use limits apply to Fair Take's AI. Recording, transcripts, search, and export remain free whatever your plan.

Paddle.com is our reseller and the merchant of record for purchases. Paddle's buyer terms (paddle.com/legal) apply to payments, refunds, and taxes.

Founding members

A Founding Pass bought before Fair Take's release is a Job Search Pass whose 90 days start the first time you sign in to Fair Take with the email you bought it with. If we later sell the Job Search Pass at a list price below what you paid for your Founding Pass, we'll refund the difference.

Your data

Your recordings, transcripts, and everything Fair Take writes for you belong to you, and you can export them at any time. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

The software

Fair Take is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including the outcome of any job application, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months.
